The ultimate Italian experience! This camp is designed to build your endurance to prepare you for your summertime goals. We are just adding in Italian roads, food, and of course, the Giro. During the camp, we’ll ride out to see the Giro pass by, we’ll have VIP passes for the finish of a Giro stage and ride the roads of Marco Pantani’s youth.
The camp is seven days of riding and seven nights accommodation at Hotel Kursaal. This is a 4-star hotel sits on the beach and less than 20 minutes from some of the most demanding Italian climbs. All rides start and finish at the hotel.
Our host, Kelly Gerla, and her staff are seasoned, efficient and sports-minded, and uniquely able to assist riders before, during, and after their daily training rides. Many professional teams and riders that compete in the UCI World Tour calendar request the Hotel Kursaal as a base for their trainings and also when they compete in the area because they always find a warm welcome and impeccable organization that always meets and exceed their requirements.
We welcome riders of Intermediate to advanced levels prepared to ride 20-25 hours in a week. We do not leave any riders behind and will have adequate staff to manage riders of different abilities.
Located in Cattolica, at sea level with superb beaches, Hotel Kursaal**** offers its guests a wide range of luxury accommodations and top class services that can satisfy the needs of even the most demanding clients that can enjoy a very pleasant and memorable cycling vacation.
Ride through beautiful, picturesque valleys in the Romagna region, sprinkled with towns and villages that contain a wealth of historical and artistic treasures. The weather during this time of year can vary from 60-70 degrees as a daily high. We ride rain or shine so come prepared for any weather.

A non-refundable $500.00 deposit is due at time of registration. The remaining balance is due 60 days prior to the camp and will be invoiced to you for immediate payment
Cancellation:
If you have to cancel for any reason, your deposit and additional fees depending on your cancellation date will not be refunded. Exceptions to this policy will not be made for any reason, including weather or personal emergencies and balances cannot be transferred.
Arrival/Departure:
We recommend you arrive by 1pm on Saturday May 11, 2024. Our transport bus from Bologna airport to hotel Kursaal leaves at 2pm Saturday, May 11th, 2024. If you miss this bus, you are responsible for your own transportation to the host hotel. Bike assembly and camp registration will be from 4pm-5pm on May 11th. If needed, you must provide your own transportation in Cattolica. There are rental cars and scooters available.
The conclusion of the camp will be Saturday, May 18th, 2024. We will provide transportation back to Bologna airport on the morning of May 18th, 2024. If you desire to stay longer, we can set this up and you will be responsible for your transport back to the Bologna airport.
Bike Transport and Assembly:
You will be responsible for assembling and packing your bike. We will have tools, a stand, and be present to assist you.
If you wish to rent a bike, the cost is $35 euro per day plus $50 euro for insurance. For 7 days that total would be approximately $295 euros.
Lodging:
This camp is being hosted by the Hotel Kursaal and all costs for hotel are included with the camp. This hotel has free wireless and highspeed internet that is available in the lobby. There are laundry facilities on site.
Airport:
Bologna Guglielmo Marconi Airport (BLQ) is the nearest airport and is less than 2hrs drive.
